We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency located in Houston, Texas that provides long-term comprehensive care and support services for adults and children who have intellectual and developmental disabilities such as mental retardation and cerebral palsy. Vita-Living is recognized as a leading proponent of integrated community living and an expert in the care of individuals with complex disabilities and behavioral challenges.

Vita-Living was the recipient of a $4,000 cash gift from The Charity Guild of Catholic Women at their annual Installation Luncheon held May 4th at the Junior League building. David Leatham accepted the gift from Peggy Field, Children’s Charity Committee Chair. Vita-Living was one of fifteen local children’s charity organizations supported by the Charity Guild of Catholic Women this year. Social Committee Chair, Eleanor Scalzitti was responsible for nominating Vita-Living for consideration by the Guild. She is the mother-in-law of Lynn Wilgenbusch a former Vita-Living employee and now supporter and volunteer. The funds will be used to help families with the costs incurred to secure a summer camp experience for their special needs children. Thank you Charity Guild of Catholic Women.
